EPA's National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), Alternative Technology Division, Multimedia Technology Branch, has a need for services for the development of a Technology Transfer Capsule Report on the current state-of-the-art processes that approach or obtain zero discharge in common metal finishing processes. It is intended that this resource document will serve as a tool for industry, Federal, State, and local regulatory organizations, labor unions and other environmental organizations to demonstrate methods of reducing emissions into the environment and optimize common surface finishing processes. The services shall include: (1) performing a literature search on alternative discharge practices; (2) acquiring vendor information; (3) providing draft and final camera-ready reports in both hard copy and specific electronic formats. All deliverables will be due within 22 weeks from the date of award. EPA intends to issue a request for a written quotation (RFQ). The RFQ-OH-98-00246 will be issued on or about July 10, 1998 with written quotations due on or about July 28, 1998.
