(256)876-5207 This is a Sources Sought Notice. The U.S. Army Aviation
and Missile Command (AMCOM) anticipates a requirement for Conformance
Inspections of designated aircraft parts for all Army aircraft systems
(rotary and fixed-wing) and similar aircraft equipment for other
Government agencies and services. Conformance Inspections are to be
performed on production samples of flight safety parts to determine
compliance to the Spares Technical Data Packages (TDPs) from which the
parts were manufactured. Typical inspection requirements include
dimensional, material, processes/finishes/coatings, and other
inspections. Metallurgical evaluations shall be performed when
necessary. A report documenting all activities and results shall be
required. Conformance Inspections shall be performed on approximately
240 parts per year. The Government shall provide only the inspection
parts as Government Furnished Property (GFP), and the required
Government Furnished Data (GFD) (i.e. TDPs). The Contractor is required
to provide all resources (i.e. facilities, equipment, support/manpower,
etc.) necessary to perform inspections, tests, and analyses of
components on rotary/fixed wing aircraft systems. The Contractor shall
use industry standard measurement equipment and instrumentation to
perform the required conformance inspections. Metallurgical analyses
shall be performed using state-of-the-art equipment capable of
measuring characteristics/composition of the selected test specimens.
This requirement shall be formally synopsized prior to release of
Request for Proposals. Any qualified source capable of satisfying the
above requirement that wishes to participate in this procurement is
