requirement for two small Ku-band ground terminals for experimental
and/or operational use with US domsats. Terminal parameters are:
Antenna aperture 2-3m, X-pol, ridged, non-penetrating mount; Receiver
G/T>24 dB/K, xmit EIRP 51-58 dBW; Freq. stability +/-0.02ppm 0 to 50
degrees C, +/-0.1ppm per year; SCPC/FDMA operating in multi-carrier
domsat environment; IF 70 MHz interface to bandwidth selectible QPSK,
BPSK modem from 9.6 kp/s to 8.4 Mb/s; User interfaces RS-232, RS 449,
V35, G.703; and Cable, connectors, including one 100 coaxial cable with
N type conductor. Delivery, installation, and maintenance to be
separately priced. The equipment is planned for use by the Law Library
of Congress GLIN (Global Legal Information Network) project and is to
be installed at a NASA facility within the Washington, D.C.
metropolitan area. The Law Library and NASA are working cooperatively
on the GLIN project and NASA will play a major role in engineering,
