Testing it is necessary to gather large quantities of digital data from the device at real time. This system will be able to record data from two digital infrared cameras simultaneously at a rate of 30Mbytes/sec for each camera. In addition, the system provides GPS and IRIG time stamping that are necessary for our field test. MicroDisk is uniquely qualified to build this system in that they have supplied a similar to the Naval Research Lab. A market survey was performed and concluded that MicroDisk is the only company that can meet our specifications in a reasonable amount of time.
