PROCUREMENT IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. EPA's National Risk
Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), Alternative Technology
Division, Multimedia Technology Branch, has a need for services for the
development of a Technology Transfer Capsule Report on the
state-of-the-art of cyanide processes in metal finishing shops. It is
intended that this resource document will serve as a tool for industry,
Federal, State, and local regulatory organizations, labor unions and
other environmental organizations to demonstrate methods of reducing
cyanide emissions into the environment and optimize common surface
finishing processes using cyanide. The services shall include: (1)
performing a literature search on state-of-the-art cyanide treatment
practices and process control involving the use of cyanide compounds;
(2) acquiring vendor information; (3) providing draft and final
camera-ready reports in both hard copy and specific electronic formats.
All deliverables will be due within 22 weeks from the date ofaward. EPA
intends to issue a request for a written quotation (RFQ). The
RFQ-OH-98-00245 will be issued on or about July 10, 1998 with written
quotations due on or about July 28, 1998. All responsible sources may
submit a written quotation which will be considered by the Agency.
