combination synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
the additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DABT19-98-B-0011
is issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions
and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46
and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. This is a small business et
aside acquisition. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is
F101. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government
contemplates awarding a firm fixed unit price contract. Multiple awards
may be made as a result of this solicitation. The contract period shall
commence within 10 days of contract date with a total of 76 completion
days -- all dates inclusive unless sooner terminated under the terms
of the contract. The following items are required: Line Item 0001 --
Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to abate asbestos in bldg
225, Truesdell Hall, Grant Avenue, Ft. Leavenworth, Ks. Line Item 0002
-- Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for renovation (phase
two) of Bldg. 225, Truesdell hall, Grant Avenue, Ft. Leavenworth, KS.
Line Item 0003 -- Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary
to remove asbestos from bldg. 404, Hancock Avenue, Ft. Leavenworth, KS.
Line Item 0004 -- Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary
to remove asbestos from bldg. 402, Hancock Avenue, Ft. Leavenworth, KS.

whose bid, conforming to the Invitation for Bid, is most advantageous
to the Government, considering only price and price-related factors.
This is a DX rated order certified for National Defense use, and the
Contractor shall follow all the requirements of the Defense Priorities
and Allocations System Regulation (15 CFR 700). Bids will be addressed
to the Directorate of Contracting, ATTN: ATZL-GCC, Room 254, Fort
Leavenworth, KS 66027-1399, and must be received at this location on or
before July 9, 1998, 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. A formal site
visit shall be conducted on Wednesday, July 7, 1998. Bidders are
