Delivery Contract for U.S. flag tugs to perform harbor support services
in the Port Everglades, Florida area. Require two types of tugs: a)
minimum of one tug capable of achieving multi-directional bollard pull
(e.g. z-drive or cycloidal propulsion units) and able to work under
aircraft carrier flight deck overhang (about 40 foot vertical
clearance) and b) minimum of two tugs with minimum 1200 shp and surface
and subsurface fendering. Anticipated period of performance is one year
with two additional one year options, commencing by 1 Oct 98. New FAR
Part 12 Proforma "TUGWORK 98" posted on the MSC homepage will be the
basis of the solicitation. Note that Port Everglades requires tug
companies providing services to obtain a business franchise." Posted
