Standard Project Flood (SPF) 5-year level protection to reduce flooding
of the lower area of Will Branch. The work will include enlarging the
existing channel by excavating a 6,400 foot long trapezoidal section
with 1 vertical on 3 horizontal side slopes. Utility relocation are
required and include an 8-inch vitrified clay sewer line, 8- inch water
line, and two 8-inch force mains. Heavy construction equipment will be
required, including but not limited to graders, front end loaders,
backhoes, and dump trucks. Magnitude of construction is between
$1,000,000. $5,000,000.00. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or
about 23 June 98. Invitation DACW17-98-B-0018 will be issued on or
about 10 Jul 98 and opened on or about 12 Aug 98. Cost of Plans and
Specifications is $40.00. Checks should be made payable to FAO USAED
Jacksonville, and sent to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville,
