The new facility will be primarily office and classroom areas for training, with some large briefing rooms and storage warehouse areas. The work will consist of reinforced concrete foundation, steel framed two-story building with masonry walls, roof structure, mechanical, electrical communications, HVAC., etc., as well as associated utilities, parking walkways and landscaping. Work will also consist of demolition and site restoration of two existing masonry framed buildings, approximately one month arfter completion of the new facility. The solicitation will result in a construction contract which will require performance and payment bonding. This will result in a firm fixed price award based upon a responsible and responsive lowest bidder's offer.
