Contracting Officer, 202.305.7310 UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries is
soliciting proposals to enter into a firm fixed price construction
contract. Project includes at a minimum to provide and install two
40,000 lbs Silos for storage of plastic materials for use in a Plastic
Injection and Extrusion manufacturing facility. At a minimum, the
contractor will engineer the Silos, Pour a concrete Pad to mount the
Silos, and provide a vacuum system to dispense the materials into
gaylord containers. The contractor will engineer the silo system with
a means to allow the transfer of plastic material from trucks into the
silos. If required the contractor will provide Architectural drawings
that will be submitted for approval. This project is located at FCI
Beaumont Medium Rt. 4, Box 5000 Hebert Road, Beaumont, Texas 77705. The
estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
Project completion is 45 days after notice to proceed. This acquisition
is set-aside 100% for a small business. (SIC 1731) Bid packages can be
