Furnish all labor and materials to disconnect and cap the 4" and 6" service distribution main from the 16" main and repair it. More specifically, will excavate both sites prior to capping West Nike and South Nike service distribution line and 16" main. Excavation locations to be identified by CE personal. The 4" and 6" service distribution lines will be disconnected from the 16" main and capped. The 16" main at both locations will then be repaired with manufactures's recommended saddles. A joint inspection and reactivation of 16" line and inspection of service line capping will be conducted by 28 CES Line Maint. and Sewage Treatment and Project Engineer with the contractor prior to backfill. Backfill will not commence until approved by 28 CES. Backfill will be industry standard. The 16" main operational capability and excavation area will be restored to original condition to concrete encasement. The 16" main will be isolated by 28 CES Line Maintenance. The isolation and nonoperational capability of the16" main will only be for 6 hours downtime at each site. Posted 06/25/98 (0176)
