Provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment and perform all work replace two diesel powered deluge pumping systems. Included in the systems are pumps, engines, fire pump controllers and all accessories. The current equipment includes: pumps-Johnson/Berkeley Pump Co. vertical shaft, Model 1403H-3535, four stage Serial No. 5678; motors-Waukesha-Scania Diesel F475DS, Model DS8 R 40 Serial No. 75788, G-33037; controllers-Master Model DCFB-39/4337, Serial No. 13518-2; vertical turbine pumps-Type UL 448 centrifugal; casing-cast iron rated for 250 psi; impellers-bronze, fully enclosed, keyed to shaft; shaft-stainless steel or carbon graphite impregnated packing and bronze lantern rings. Contractor will be responsible for installing operating systems which will include decreasing line size, providing drains, piping, connection to electrical service, exhaust silencer with insulation, vibration isolators and ling according to specifications provided in quote package. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A payment bond of 50% will be required on award. Performance time will be 90 days. Requests should be received by the issue date of 15 July 1998. Closing date will be COB 5 August 1998. Requests for the quotation must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable certified check, cashiers check or money order payable to the U.S. Treasury in the amount of $8.00 per RFQ package.
