The United States Air Force Research Laboratory has a requirement for approximately 45 lineal feet of nominal 12" (12.75" OD x 7.914" ID) and 130 lineal feet of nominal 8" (8.625" OD x 5.353" ID) Monel 400 pipe forgings, and approximately 20 lineal feet of nominal 12" (12.75" OD x 8.622" ID) and 30 lineal feet of nominal 8" (8.625" OD x 5.833" ID) TP304 Stainless Steel pipe forgings. The forgings for Monel shall be in accordance with ASTM B165-93 and shall be in the annealed condition. The forgings for Stainless Steel shall be in accordance with ASTM A312/A312M-92a. Full reports for chemical analysis, tension testing, and hydrostatic testing are required. Forty (40) ft lengths are desired and thirty (30) ft lengths are acceptable. Special control of the chemistry for the Monel piping to limit sulfur, impurities, residual elements, and inclusions is required. Hot tensile testing for the Monel piping in accordance with ASTM E21-92 is required for each heat of material. This requirement is a unrestricted.SIC Code is 3356. Size standard is 750.
