The Government intends to purchase these items from Palmer Instrument, Inc, Asheville, NC. The Government knows of no other source and believes this item is proprietary to Palmer Instrument. The manufacturer's part number is 35B-MM-X and cage code is 23471. The spare parts will be elivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, MO on an FOB Destination basis. Alternative or like items would not be acceptable without extensive testing. The Government does not have specifications or drawings for this item and intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC253(c)(1). The Government knows of only one source authorized to provide the device referenced.
