A -- ADDITIONAL WORK FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A STRATEGIC WEAPONS AND MATERIALS VERIFICATION REGIME POC David Staudt, Negotiator, (703) 325-9210, Edward L. Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to award a sole source Task Order amendment to DynMeridian under current Basic Ordering Agreement DNA001-96-G-0061-0002. This effort involves extending the level of support from Sep 98 to Jun 99. The level of work anticipated is 1.3 man years. Under this Task Order, DynMeridian is providing support to on-going Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) negotiations. The extension is necessitated by unanticipated and unprecedented Office of Secretary of Defense demands arising from START negotiations. DynMeridian is providing unique technical expertise in the formulation of realistic negotiation strategies and potential inspection scenarios. DSWA considers the uninterrupted expertise support of DynMeridian critical to the success of this important mission. DSWA considers that this expertise cannot be duplicated without such unreasonable expenditure in time and money as to render DSWA non-responsive to high priority, short notice Treaty manager needs. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability to perform this requirement. See Note 22.
