The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the General Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a twelve month sole source simplified acquisition to The Center for Native American Health in Tucson, AZ. Work under this simplified acquisition shall produce an easy-to-read guide concerning critical issues in managed care organization, financing and service delivery for Native Americans with mental health and substance abuse problems. The guide will primarily focus on managed care issues confronting reservation-based Native Americans, but there will be attention to non-reservation, urban Native Americans as well. It will be developed with extensive input from tribal health leaders, non-Native managed care experts, and consumers and families who have experience with public mental health managed care systems.
