This notice announces an Industry Forum for the Fort Lewis, WA Capital Ventures Initiative (CVI), September 1 & 2, 1998, at the Sheraton Hotel in Tacoma, Washington. The most current information regarding the Industry Forum and this project can be viewed and downloaded from the Seattle District CVI web site: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/cvi. Those interested in attending the Industry Forum must register at the web site no later than 17 August 1998. The Industry Forum is intended to solicit and answer industry questions and comments about the Fort Lewis Capital Ventures Initiative to privatize family housing ownership and operations. Questions and comments are being collected prior to the Industry Forum on the web site. The web site also has a FAQ, frequently asked questions, page on which to pose or view the answers to previously posed questions. Additional questions resulting from the Industry Forum will be posted on the web site. Contractors should ensure their questions are submitted by 15 Aug 98. In addition to questions and answers sessions, the Industry Forum will also include site visits to the installation, forums for discussion and presentations on the Fort Lewis vision. The solicitation is expected to be available on or about 31 December 1998. Check the web site as this date approaches for the current schedule. When offers for this work are solicited, it will be for a design, build, own, operate, maintain, finance, and lease back contract.
