S -- - PROPOSING A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AWARD TO INTERRAIN PACIFIC, PORTLAND, OREGON. The NOAA is proposing a sole source contract award to Interrain Pacific located in Portland, Oregon. Purpose of proposed contract is to develop capacity for integrate geographic information system (GIS) technology into day to day National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) operations. Tasks will include GIS needs analysis; developing standard analysis tools, data sets, and focused training; and developing and implementing a strategy for corporate integration of GIS implementation. Interrain Pacific is an independent 509(a)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote conservation-based development by enhancing understanding of social and ecological patterns of change. Interrain Pacific provides leadership in public access geographic information systems (GIS), community health indicators, watershed assessment, community level training, and environmental business services.
