This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item
prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented
with additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and
a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued
as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation number is
USZA95-98-Q-0057. This solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 90-46. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is
3728 and the Business Size Standard is 1000 employees. The items to be
quoted are CLIN 0001 -- MH-47E Configuration Modules, 10 Each, CLIN
0002 -- MH-60K Configuration Modules 10 Each, CLIN 0003 -- Calibration
Units, 2 Each and CLIN 0004- Simulator Standby Displays, 1 Each, Part
Number: 501-1827-02. Inspection and Acceptance: Origin. FOB Point
Destination. . Delivery shall be September 30, 1998 for the Calibration
Units and the other units are required to be delivered by October 30,
1998 or best possible date. This announcement constitutes the only
solicitation document; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Any award resulting from this Request
for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on a SF 1449A and will contain all
clauses required by Law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and
the Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for
the dollar value of the award. The provision at FAR 52.212-1,

the Contracting Officer will make their full text available. Quotations
shall provide the following information, representations, and
certifications: 1. FOB Point if other than destination. 2. Quotation is
firm for 90 days unless otherwise stated. 3. Furnished Vendor Part
Number(s) if other than listed with each item. 4. Points of shipment,
performance, preservation, packaging, and marking. 5. Remittance
address. 6. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) per FAR 52.204-3,
Taxpayer Identification (Mar 1994). 7. Data Universal Numbering System
(DUNS) number per FAR 52.204-6, Contractor Identification Number --
Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number (Dec 1996). 8. Commercial
and Government Entity (CAGE) Code per DFARS 252.204-7001, Commercial

solicitation number. Proposals must be delivered to US Army Special
Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office,
AMSAM-AR-Z-A-K (ATTN: Teresa Dansberry, Lee Blvd.,Bldg. 401, Fort
Eustis, VA 23604, telephone (757) 878-5223, ext. 243 not later than
3:00 local time 24 July 98. The submission of proposals is subject to
FAR 52.215-10 "Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawals of
Proposals. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for
which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one
source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify
their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit
proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive
proposals. However, all proposal received will be considered by the
government. A determination by the Government not to compete this
notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information
received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of
determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Posted
