for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
Subpart 12.6, the test program in FAR Subpart 13.6, as supplemented
with additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and
written solicitation will not be issued!! Solicitation Number
DAAC89-98-T-0242 is issued as a Request for Quotation!! This
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This is a full
and open procurement under SIC 3589, Service Industry Machinery, Not
Elsewhere Classified!! Description Baghouse (furnace). All materials
and parts comprising the Baghouse shall be new, of current manufacture,
and shall not have been in prior service, except as required during
factory testing. The seller will guarantee to the Government in writing
that the equipment and materials provided, fabricated by seller under
the requirements and conditions of these drawing and any subsequent
revisions, will be free from defects in material and/or workmanship
under ordinary and normal usage and service, for a period of not less
than one (1) year. The warranty period will begin on the date of
acceptance. Any defects in the material and/or workmanship found within
the warranty period will be repaired and/or replaced by the seller at
the seller's expense. Date of delivery is no later than 90 calendar
days from date of contract award; Place if delivery Inspection, and
acceptance is Tooele Army Depot, Building 5123, Tooele UT. 84047.

17 (viii). Solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offers-Commercial items (Oct 95) is hereby incorporated by reference!!
17 (ix). The Government will award a contract resulting from this
solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the
solicitation will be most advantageous representing the best value to
the Government price and other factors considered. The following
factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Evaluation will be based on
(1) Past Performance (see below) . (2) Delivery Terms -- ability to
meet required delivery schedule and (3) Price. Factors are listed in
their relative order of importance. Past performance will be evaluated
and follows: Evaluation of past performance shall be based on
information provided by the offers (see below) and any other
information the Government may obtain by following up on the
information provided by the offers and/or through other sources (i.e
offers performance on previously awarded contracts and/or contracts
with other Government entities). The offers must identify two Federal,
State, or local government and private contracts for which the offeror
has supplies similar products identified in this solicitation.
Referenced should include the most recent contracts completed within
the last five years. The offeror shall provide a point of contact,
current telephone numbers and fax number for each contract. This list
is due by the date established for receipt of offers!! 17 (x). Offers
are reminded to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.
