Lloyd, Contracting Officer, (919)541-3570 The purpose of this procurement is to purchase three (3) medical air receivers for the EPA Human Studies Facility (HSF) located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, materials, and equipment to fabricate three (3) medical air receivers in accordance with EPA's specifications. One of the medical air receivers has a 1,500 gallon capacity and the other two (2) medical air receivers have 400 gallon capacity. There are two medical air compressors which serve different areas of the building. These receivers are needed to store compressed air and prevent the larger of the two compressors from short cycling. EPA will soon be modifying medical air piping system in the HSF to provide the program the choice of operating either of the two medical air compressors to provide all medical air required throughout the building. The Request For Quotation (RFQ) will be issued approximately 07/14/98. Quotations will be due within approximately thirty (30) days after the RFQ issuance date. The place of performance is unknown; therefore, any interested party should immediately notify the Contract Specialist in writing in order to obtain a Wage Determination from the Department of Labor. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The SIC Code is 3585 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Only written requests will be considered.
