This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, number N00259-98-Q-0191, is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-03. Items to be acquired: (1) On-site full service maintenance contract on listed gov't.-owned equipment to include all parts, labor, transportation and unlimited corrective maintenance calls for the period of 01Oct98 through 30Sep99. Statement of work includes (a) Correct inoperable condition in a timely manner with a response time of no later than 24 hours after a telephone notification, to a monitored contractor emergency telephone number to be provided by the contractor. (b) The contractor may use gov't. utilities, (electrical power, compressed air and water) that are available and required for any service performed under this contract. (c) To ensure minimal downtime to equipment, the contractor shall maintain replacement repair parts and materials as necessary to perform each repair or supply said parts within one (1) day. (d) Parts and supplies shall be guaranteed to be equal in all respects, including performance, interchangeability, durability and quality to be OEM parts when new or presently recommended by the manufacturer. (e) One (1) preventive maintenance for the period of the contract. (f) Monday thru Friday between 0800-1700 hrs. corrective maintenance calls.
