Tipton (904) 232-1146 (Site Code DACW17) Work consists of excavating and disposing of 170,000 cubic yards (cy) of unclassified material from Canal C-35 and 180,000 cy of unclassified material from Canal C-36. Each canal shall be worked from one bank only. Canal C-35 excavating shall be done from the west side of the canal. Road access is available to the west side of Canal C-35. The access for Canal C-36 is on the east side of the canal. Canal C-36 excavating must be done from the west side of the canal. The contractor is responsible for transporting all items, material and personnel to the west side of Canal C-36. The disposal areas are within the existing canal rights-of-way and are adjacent to each canal. Clearing and grubbing, and road maintenance are also required. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000. $5,000,000.00. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 29 June 98. Invitation DACW17-98-B-0019 will be issued on or about 14 Jul 98 and opened on or about 18 Aug 98. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $40.00.
