NASA/LeRC intends to purchase the items from "Big Sky Laser Inc." The application involves fitting laser system "CFR 400-10-SHG-FHG-WS-MINI" into a 2.2 sec drop-rig package. Both space and power are limited in this experimental package. The present design and associated existing hardware are based on the physical dimensions, power consumption and lasing energy associated with the Big Sky laser system being procured. Specifically, the drop-rig frame, rig battery power, camera system, and interface electronics have been designed and built to be compatible with the Big Sky laser. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENTION TO MAKE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. Interested firms have seven (7)days from the publication date to submit qualifications and capabilities. A determinationby the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
