99 -- VTEL MAINTENANCE SOL NMA100-98-R-2056 DUE 071698 POC Contracting Officer, Priscilla Hubley, 301-227-7833, FAX 301-227-2218 or 301-227-5573 The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with VTEL Corporation, King of Prussia, PA for a 6-month board exchange maintenance program. This maintenance program will provide maintenance for a number of NIMA videoconferencing systems to include: Radiance systems, Rembrandt II, Gallery and MCU2M located at various NIMA sites. Vtel is the only known supplier of the circuit board exchange maintenance. The estimated period of performance is 01 August through 31 January 1999. Authority for this sole source procurement is U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Firms that recognize that they can perform the required supply/service described above are encouraged to identify themselves and given written notification with supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. The requirement for competition based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources will be given full consideration.
