Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies Company (LMITCO), the prime Management and Operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) is seeking information from firms capable of supplying an Enterprise Server. LMITCO is interested in an IBM multiprise 2003-237 or equal. The server must have at least 100 MIPS with a minimum of 2 CPUs and a maximum of 3 CPUs, use CMOS technology, and be air cooled. The server must support OS/390 versions 1.3 and 2.5+ and VM ESA 2.20+. The server must have at least 2 GB of memory for system operation which must be separate from any system memory used for disk caching. Memory shall be able to be defined as real or expanded. The server shall have at least 280 GB of disk ( internal disk are desired but external disk will be acceptable.). The central processors, memory and disk shall be supported by an internal battery or a compatible UPS system, which shall provide operations for at least 20minutes without external power. The server shall support at least 7 LPARs or compatible function. The server must also support the following peripherals: IBM 3390 mod2 disk controllers, 3380k, 3390-2 and 3390-3 disk; IBM-4245-20 and IBM-3211 printers; IBM 3745 running PEP, 3174 and 3274 communication controllers; IBM 3480 tape and controllers and an IBM 3495 tape library with 3490E drives and magstar tape drives. The server shall be year 2000 compliant. This Request for Information (RFI) will close to response 15 days after publication.
