Y -- PREQUALIFICATION -- NEW CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATIONS OF EXISTING, AND/OR EXPANSIONS, ALLEGHENY AREA SOL 232098-98-A-0067 DUE 071798 POC Joan Robinson, Facilities Contract Specialist, (410) 997-6225 or Sam Weinberg x6236 This is a notice of intent to pre-qualify firms to construct, renovate or expand Postal facilities located in the Allegheny Area; Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Erie, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and South Jersey Districts. Postal Facilities ranging in size from 1,000 SF to 50,000 SF with an estimated construction cost between $800,000 and $5 million dollars. The criteria for contractor pre-qualification is listed in the package. Applications will be evaluated by a United States Postal Service committee. Primary factors that will be considered are: Construction experience, financial stability, bonding capacity, Capacity (current workload in relation to company resources), references and previous clients. Other factors to be considered will include: Project management capabilities, company organization, MBE participation and committment. (If you previously (1997) submitted the information, do not request a package. Send updated/current financial statement and any company changes that will effect your being considered for pre-qualification. No response means you are no longer interested in the program.) Its imperative to state which area mentioned above you wish to work when submitting the completed pre-qual package. To obtain a package, write or fax your request, Attn. All firms will be advised within sixty (60) days of receipt of their applications as to pre-qualification status. Once pre-qualified, solicitations will be provided to only the most highly qualified firms (a minimum of three and preferably a target of seven); or solicitations will be rotated among pre-qualified firms on a master list maintained over a 24-month period (standard projects), from which list three or more will be selected for each solicitation. This Pre-qualification Package is not a Request for Proposal. Pre-qualification Statements will not be returned to submitters.
