swagner@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal,
NJ currently has a requirement for the production of shock attenuating
lifting plugs and gaskets for 155mm, HE M795 Projectiles. The plugs and
gaskets shall be produced to completely meet designated requirements.
The Contractor shall provide for all necessary labor, materials,
supplies, services, facilities, and equipment to perform this
requirement. The Government does not intend to sponsor or procure
facilities for the manufacture of the M795 Projectile lift plugs and
gaskets. Production shall be complete by March 2001 for the basic
quantity of 75,500 units and by January 2002 for the Option quantity of
75,500 units, should it be exercised. The 155mm, HE, M795, Plug, Shock
Attenuating is a malleable cast iron lift plug that is threaded into
the nose of the projectile. It is designed to protect the nose and
ogive of the projectile during handling as well as to provide a means
in which to lift the projectile safely. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is
intendedto be awarded for this effort. See Numbered Note 1. Posted
