NSN Desc: Used with 60MM Mortar, 5.40' long and 2.375" in diameter at the fin blades. Each fin weighs approx 6 oz. Fin is made of 2014-T65 or 6070-T6 aluminum. Six individual blades are extruded at he end of the boom. Each blade is precisely canted at 5 degrees. The center of the fin is hollow and threaded at the end so the M702 ignition ctg can be inserted and secured in the fin. Flash holes are drilled in the hollow section of the boom to vent gas and flame from the M702 ignition ctg. The top end of the fin is threaded so it can be secured to the mortar ctg body.
