The Bureau of Reclamation, PN Region, Boise, Idaho, has the following requirement for utility bodies to fit five 1999 Ford F450 and two 1999 Ford F350 trucks. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) and statement are issued as RFQ 1425-98-SQ-10-00360. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-4. The standards industrial classification is 3713 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. CLIN 001: Five (5) utility bodies to fit 1999 Ford F450 trucks. Cab to axle 60". Dual wheel. Features to include: three (3) shelves in front compartment; one (1) shelf in each horizontal compartment; flush mount stop/tail/turn and back-up lights; clearance lights and reflectors; heavy duty tread plate bumper with recess for hitch; primed and painted to match cab; undercoated; spring mounted body for off-road use; spring loaded door returns. Options needed: reinforce curbside rear compartment for future installation of 2000# crane; install heavy duty receiver hitch; install electric break controller. CLIN 002: Two (2) utility bodies to fit 1999 Ford F350 trucks. Cab to axle 56". Single rear wheels. Features to include: three (3) shelves in each front compartment; one (1) shelf in each horizontal compartment; flush mount stop/tail/turn and back-up lights; clearance lights and reflectors; heavy duty tread plate bumper with recess for hitch; primed and painted to match cab; undercoated; spring mounted for off-road use; spring loaded door returns.
