The 11th Contracting Squadron/LGCN, Bolling AFB, DC, intends to procure re Solicitation No. F49642-98-R0096, a firm fixed-price, sole source contract with Motorola, Inc., 7230 Parkway Drive, Box 50, Hanover, MD 21076, to provide Land Mobile Radio System equipment. All major components such as handheld radios, mobile radios, base station radios, plus installation, etc., will be encryptable using the National Security Agency's (NSA) Digital Encryption Standard Extended Range (DES-XL) encryption algorithm only. This equipment must be completely interoperable with existing systems already owned by HQ AFOSI which was manufactured by Motorola, Inc. This equipment will provide support for the Headquarters Air Force Office of Special Investigations (HQ AFOSI), 1535 Command Drive, Andrews AFB, MD 20762-7002, and five CONUS Air Force Bases.
