Fax at (703) 607-4611 The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to issue a request for proposal for acquiring audio/video routers in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) and specification. This acquisition is for a commercial item and is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under solicitation DCA100-98-R-0041 and is a small business set-aside procurement under SIC code 3577 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION AND STATEMENT OF WORK MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 15 JULY 1998. PROPOSALS WILL BE DUE ON 30 JUL 1998 UNLESS EXTENDED BY THE RELEASED RFP. The Government has a requirement for an integrated audio/video routing switcher built to government specifications. Although, there is no anticipated development, some repackaging/rework of existing commercial-off-the-shelf items and applications may be required in order to meet the Government specification. The amount of such repackaging/rework will be dependent upon the readiness of existing vendor products to meet the Government specification. The Government's market survey included equipment from Pesa Switching Systems, Kittanning, PA; Phillips, Manassas, VA; and Utah Scientific, Salt Lake City, UT. THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE PROVIDES A STATEMENT OF WORK AND DETAILED GOVERNMENT SPECIFICATION. The vendor will be required to provide installation, integration and performance testing, operator training and commercial operator manuals. A commercial warranty combined with a 3-year extended product service agreement and as-built drawings are also required. The requirement will be ordered on a firm-fixed price basis under FAR Part 12 procedures. Place of delivery will be at a location in Washington, D.C.. The award document will provide the delivery location. Offerors shall include F.O.B. destination-shipping costs within their prices.
