The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this project is 1761 -- Roofing and Sheet Metal Work. The size standard is $7.0 Million. Provide and secure repair of roofs, the complete installation of new roof systems to existing structures at various locations, and any necessary preparatory work as required to make structure complete and ready for use. The work includes, but is not limited to, the demolition and removal of various existing roofing systems, flashing, counterflashing, cants curbs, fascia, drip edge, roof insulation, decking, gutters and downspouts, blocking and other incidental related work. The contract period shall be effective for a maximum of 365 days (or earlier, as determined by the Contracting Officer after the minimum contract amount has been ordered by the Government) from the required commencement date. The projected date of availability of the solicitation is 24 July 1998. The projected bid opening date is 25 August 1998.
