R -- ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE CONSOLIDATED AUTOMATED SUPPORT SYSTEM (CASS) PROGRAM SOL N68335-98-Q-0275 DUE 071598 POC Dawn Chartier, Code 2132DC, (732) 323-2933 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to extend the ordering period of contract N68335-97-D-0128 until 31 December 2000 and the performance period until 30 June 2001. This contract was awarded as a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Information Systems for the acquisition of Engineering and Technical Services in support of the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Program. The contractor will perform engineering investigation and engineering analysis of AN/USM-636(V) CASS Pre-Planned Product Improvement recommendations. As a result of the investigations and analysis the contractor may be required to generate an Engineering Change Proposal and build a prototype change kit based on the Engineering Change Proposal. NAWCADLKE procured this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented FAR 6.302-1. Lockheed Martin Information Systems is currently the only firm that has the required knowledge, expertise and technical data to perform the requirements of the effort described above. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
