The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has a requirement for Simulation/ Stimulation engineering and technical services. Programs to be supported include CCS Mk 1, CCS Mk 2, AN/BSY-1, AN/BSY-2, TRIDENT and NSSN. Tasks will include software/hardware engineering, preparation of software development plans, Configuration and Risk Management, software analysis, code and unit testing, investigation and resolution of Simulation/Stimulation software Program Trouble Reports and Trainer Casualty reports, and review of ECPs. A 60 month Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (CPFF) contract is planned. Estimated level of effort for the entire 60 month period is 129,700 hours. Key labor categories include Principal Engineer (6000 hours), Software Engineer III (10,500 hours), Systems Engineer III (7000 hours). Best value award methodology will be employed with evaluation factors including Technical Capability (Personnel, Past Performance, Technical Approach, Management Approach) and Cost. This is a follow-on to contract N66604-95-D-A003 which was awarded to Syscon Corporation, Falls Church, VA.
