The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material and equipment to perform renovations to Kitchen HVAC Systems and Asbestos Abatement at Bldg. 311. The work includes three bid items; Bid Item 1: Remove all existing kitchen exhaust hoods and exhaust fans. All exhaust ductwork shall be removed. New exhaust hoods, fans, ductwork and make up air units shall be provided. Bid Item 2: Lead paint removal and asbestos abatement of all areas and work to correct architectural deficiencies. Asbestos abatement indludes removal of asbestos containing wallboard and ceiling boards in addition to floor tiles and mastic. Replace removed asbestos containing materials with new non-asbestos containing material. Architectural work to include adding new exits and stairwells. Bid Item 3: Provide HVAC for cafeteria, kitchen and office. Provide new sprinkler system and fire alarm upgrade. Estimated price range: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Number ofdays in the contract: 180. Number of bid items: Three. SIC Code 1711, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning, $7.0 Million.
