C. Kaiser, Contracting Officer, (703) 784-2976 x244 PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: This project is UNRESTRICTED. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this project is 1781 -- Water Well Drilling. The size standard is $7.0 Million. Install water wells at Camp Upshur, including approximately 6300 linear feet of new 12 inch, 10 inch, and 6 inch water distribution main including valves, fire hydrants, pavement restoration, and water service connection. The work includes, but it not limited to two well pump stations including pumps, valves, buildings, mechanical, and electrical work, and telemetry. The work includes removal or grouting-in-place of all existing water valves, hydrants, and water piping at Camp Upshur except where indicated otherwise. The work includes demolition of the existing water treatment plant and all of its accompanying structures. Asbestos removal required. The estimated construction time is 270 days from the required commencement date. The projected date of availability of the solicitation is 24 July 1998. The projected bid opening dateis 25 August 1998.
