Pre-Solicitation Notice -- IFB N68711-98-B-1159, SEISMIC REPAIRS & RENOVATIONS TO BLDGS. 1613 & 1628 (TP-9813M) -- The work includes furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supervision for seismic strengthening and renovations for the following facilities: Building 1613: Construction of reinforced concrete shear walls; replacement of existing roofing and flashing; replacement of all exterior doors and hardware; and painting of all exterior and interior surfaces throughout. Building 1628: Construction of reinforced concrete shear walls, including related removal and replacement of existing VCT, suspended ceilings, electrical work and epoxy paint floor finish repair; replacement of all exterior doors and hardware, replacement of existing roofing and flashing; removal of some existing partitions and interior doors, removal of all toilet room fixtures, finishes and accessories; installation of new partitions, doors, finishes and toilet room fixtures and accessories; removal of some existing suspended ceiling systems and installation of new gyp board ceilings in new toilet rooms; painting of existing exterior and interior surfaces throughout; new lighting in shop; new toilet exhaust systems and new HVAC systems throughout with related replacement of diffusers, and incidental related work. -- A Quality Control Program will be required as set forth in the Contract Specifications. -- NOTE: Large business concerns are required to submit a subcontracting plan. -- NOTE: Bids submitted in response to this advertisement will be evaluated in compliance with DFARS Clause 252.219-7008, Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns (APR 1996), which is applicable to this solicitation. -- NOTE: All Federal Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, new contract awards can only be made to contractors who are registered in the CCR.
