70 -- NETWORK MANAGEMENT SOLCOM RMON2 HARDWARE LAN PROBES DUE 071798 POC Pat Denard, Contract Specialist, 703/607-6904 DISA-NCR proposes to award a commercial acquisition to Solcom Systems for Network Management Solcom RCON2 Hardware Lan probes. This requirement consists of a distributed platform that would, through user defined specifications, collect and archive accurate long term historical and real time statistics. Associated utilities would include displaying statistical information for both physical and higher protocol levels of information as well as functionality for alarms and on the fly troubleshooting. These functions must be readily available via a commonly accessible format and available for reporting at any time. The SOLCOM Systems probe is certified to operate with the Concord Network Management platform (Nethealth) and is SNMP/ROM standards compliant (both RMON1 and RMON2). This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award other than full and open competition and should not be considered and RFQ or RFP. No solicitation will be issued. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304(c )(1), and is solely at the discretion of the Government.
