NASA/LeRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for software maintenance on Mentor Graphics Software -- one each of the following: Accuparts Node, Monte Carlo Option, ACCUSIM Kernal, V8OP, Design Architect V8 APSW, Falcon Framework-node locked, Falcon Framework-floating, Post Script filter V8 APSW, Postscript Server sw, Versated VCRserver SW, HP plotter server SW, Idea Stan V8sw, PLDSynthesis II CPLD V8opsw, BPL-digital analysis V8 OPsw, BPL-cad lib V8 opswsl, Board STN v8sw, XTK-cross toolkit V8 apsw, Autotherm APsw, Auickpath CPA Kernel v8opsw, PCB IGES V8opsw, Platform starter kit, Inform Subscription Service, SS MGC Sys Mng Doc Set V8, SS Board Station Doc Set, SS IDEA Station Doc Pack. The software is currently being used on HP755/750 workstations. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LeRC intends to purchase the items from Mentor Graphics Corporation. The Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC2304(c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 5 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 5 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
