Contractor to provide the services of an economic geologist to obtain information and generate reports which will be used to update Alaska Resource Data Files (ARDF). ARDF is a comprehensive database of known Alaskan mineral deposits and contains information compiled from the U. S. Geological Survey, Bureau of Land Management, other Government and private sources and any information/records of the contractor. ARDF may be accessed via the internet at http://www-mrs-ak.wr.usgs.gov:80/ardf/. Contractor is to contact individuals or organizations that may have knowledge or evidence of new mines, prospects, and mineral occurrences within the Alaskan quadrangles being updated. Topographic maps of quadrangles will be provided showing locations of sites that reqire updating. Contractor will provide a report in accordance with the U. S. Geological Survey Standards for Updating of Records in ARDF. Updated information will be provided to U. S. Geological Survey Anchorage, AK via File Maker Pro 4.0 software with a layout that consists of 31 fields. Requirement will be an indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery contract with a base year commencing approximately 1 November 1998 plus 2 option years. Delivery orders will be issued for quadrangles to be updated. Standard Industrial Code is 8733 for which the Small Business Size Standard is $5 million.
