Van Houten (SEA 02544) 703/602-8000 x545 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate a contract with The Boeing Company, 5301 Bolsa Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA 92647-2099 for the AN/SAY-1 rotatable pool Depot Repair Services. The rotatable pool depot repair services are for one base year and one option year and will be added to NAVSEA Contract N00024-96-C-5428. The depot repair services for the AN/SAY-1 rotatable pool will include repair services, repair induction disposition, parts management, cost management, repair tracking, return to Navy supply and reporting and equipment required to maintain the depot. Authority for this contracting action is 10 USC 2304(c)(1). The Boeing Company is currently the designer and manufacturer of the AN/SAY-1. The Boeing Company is the only source able to perform the services needed to facilitate its production process in the manufacturing of the AN/SAY-1. Only Boeing can define and implement the peripheral functions unique to its production process. Also, Boeing is uniquely able to perform work which involves troubleshooting of its own production line. This synopsis is for informational purposes only, for the benefit of potential subcontractors.
