Description: The General Services Administration (GSA) on behalf of the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) plans to issue a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for the operation of fleet management, maintenance, repair and other support services for the MPD maintenance garage facility located at 1501 South Capital Street, SW, Washington, DC. The draft solicitation will be issued on or about July 20, 1998 and will be available on the Internet. The size standard for SIC Code 7539 is $5.0 million. The fleet currently consists of approximately 1,470 vehicles. The contract period will be October 1, 1998 or date of award, whichever is later through September 30, 2000 with a 2-year option.
