Building features non-combustible construction with load bearing CMU walls and structural steel supporting systems in designated areas, standing-seam metal roof system supported by open-web trusses, large mechanical cooling loads, hydronic heating loop, compressed air, bridge cranes, domestic hot and cold water, plumbing, lightning protection, 400 Hz and 60 Hz busway system, fire protection and alarm. Site work includes a 400 square-meter prefabricated covered storage, asphaltic concrete parking lot, and portland cement concrete hardstand, utilities systems improvements and landscaping and irrigation systems. Project also includes relocation of TOSS antenna and demolition of approximately 3,000 square meters of the existing Avionics Building 1327. Building portion to be demolished is wood and contains asbestos wallboard, siding and insulation. The design is in metric units, except the demolition of Building 1327, including asbestos abatement, which are in English units. Availability: The solicitation for this project will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on CD ROM only. EBS Disks will be available on or about 29 July 1998 at no charge per set. No individual sets are available. EBS Disks will be issued on a first come, first serve basis until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Refer to IFB number DACA67-98-B-0036 when ordering. Requests MUST BE IN WRITING and be received before EBS Disks will be mailed. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $5 million to $10 million and completion period is 540 calendar days. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542. Project is open to both large and small business. If you are a large business and your bid or proposal will exceed $1,000,000 you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan.
