Work entails the fabrication, delivery, and installaion of twelve (12) steel Pier Nose Extension (PNE) modules. Bolted together, the PNE's will comprise of a structure that is 8 feet wide by 95 feet tall by 7 feet in length when fully assembeld and weighs about 30 tons. The PNE's will move the location of trashracks 1.865 meters upstream. The extensions will be installed on the six piers in Bay Eight of the powerhouse. The powerhouse has four piers 22.438 meters wide and two piers -- 1.524 meters wide. Underwater installation is required. Fifteen (15) streamlined trashracks and three (3) horizontial trashracks shall also be fabricated, delivered and installed. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Invitation for Bid will be available on or about August 1, 1998. Tentative bid opening is September 1, 1998. This procurement is open to large and small business concerns. The small business size standard for this aquisition including all affiliates, having average annual sales or receipts of the preceeding three years can not exceed $17 million.
