THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION, QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation, M62974-98-Q-3004, is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. This is a total small business set aside. The associated Standards Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3577 and the small business size is 1000 employees. LINE ITEM 0002. 2 EACH -- Segment Switch Manager module, 9 group RMON and SNMP, ODS NETWORK P/N 1094-IS-SSM-PLUS (no substitute). LINE ITEM 0003. 2 EACH -- 12 port 100BaseTX EthernetSwitch module, ODS NETWORK P/N 1094-IS-12TX (no substitute). LINE ITEM 0004. 1 EACH -- CNS700 Campus Star Chassis, PairGain P/N 150-1220-01 or equal. LINE ITEM 0005. 4 EACH -- CF1-768 768 kbps single pair line unit, PairGain P/N 150-1223-04 or equal. LINE ITEM 0006. 8 EACH -- REX/768 Campus Ethernet remote bridge interface card (10BaseT), PairGain P/N 150-1175-01 or equal. LINE ITEM 0007. 4 EACH -- Campus 768 modem, PairGain P/N 150-1156-01 or equal. Or equal specifications as follows: (1) Support up to T1/E1 speeds over current telephone circuits. (2) Support 14 or more separate circuits. (3) Be HDSL based. (4) Allow for seven different interface options: DS-1/DSX-1 both with and without CSU/DSU, V.35, RS-449/RS-422, G.703, and V.21/V.11. (5) Accommodate data, voice, and video interface options. (6) Each circuit provide support to multiple users. (8) Minimum acceptable speed of 768kb over a single pair of wires. (8) This equipment will be used to provide high-speed data links to buildings with limited network and phone capabilities. The systems that will need to be accessible over these links are Banyan Vines, Windows NT, TCP/IP, and 3270. Delivery desired within 30 days after receipt of order. The FOB point is destination, Yuma AZ. Clauses, FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 apply.
