99 -- SHREDDER, PAPER, HEAVY-DUTY SOL 1240998 POC Deborah L. Sharp 202-512-0996 Shredder, heavy duty, double rotor. Equal to Model 1520 as produced by the Jacobson Company of Minneapolis, MN. Machine shall reduce passports and other paper scrap to pieces of less than 1" in width. A total of at least 1,000 pounds of paper shall be shredded during an eight hour shift. The throat area of this unit shall be at least 15 x 20" but shall not exceed 20 x 24". The maximum height, including frame, shall not exceed 16". This unit shall operate in continuous service for 12 hours per day with the speed of the blades being between 25 and 35 rpm. The motor rpm shall be 1800 and the speed reducing mechanism shall be heavy duty. The shredder shall operate unattended and must be capable of automatically clearing paper jambs by using auto-reverse in order to prevent overloading the drive motor. Posted 07/06/98. (0187)
