The USDA Forest Service, Northern Region, intends to procure Professional Architectural and Engineering Services for an office/Lab/testing center complex for the Missoula Technical and Development Center to be located on approximately 30 acres of public land near the Missoula Airport, Missoula, Montana. Work includes, but is not limited to, design development drawings, construction contract drawings, cost estimating, construction specifications and furnishings. Design for the complex shall include a building of approximately 50,000 square feet and limited site development. A storage/shop building may also be included. Site development shall include access roads, parking and future development work. The construction documents shall be developed to allow construction of the building and site complex. Another document shall be prepared which will provide the Government information to contract for future site development. The estimated construction is 5 million dollars ($5,000,000) and estimated start workdate is July 5, 1999. In evaluating proposals, the following criteria will be applied: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services. (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required. (3) Capacity to accomplish work in the required time. (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules. (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of locality of the project. This is not a Request for Proposals; there is no package to request.
