C -- CM, NEW PROPOSED CT, MIAMI, FL, SUBCONTRACTING NETWORKING SESSION SOL GS-04P-98-EXC-0007 POC Althea Harris (202) 501-1155 or David Gibson (404) 331-2366 The United States General Services Administration (GSA) will host a Procurement Networking Session for subcontracting opportunities for small, small disadvantaged, and small woman-owned businesses for Construction Management Services for the proposed Miami Courthouse New Construction Project from 1:00 -- 4:00 p.m. on July 28, 1998, in the Main Jury Assembly Room, 1st Floor, U.S. District Court, 301 N. Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida. This Networking Session will coincide with the beginning of the design phase of the project during which the selected Construction Manager (CM) will be providing various design phase CM consulting services to GSA. It is intended to affirm GSA's recognition of the talent that exists in the small business community and its commitment to opening a dialogue between that community and the firms which are awarded its larger contracts. Although the apparently successful offeror for the Construction Management services for this project has been identified and the basic team assembled, because of the dynamic nature of the relationship between all participants in this project small, small disadvantaged and small woman-owned firms are encouraged to participate in this session to network and to showcase their special talents and abilities as potential subcontractors. The session will consist of an overview of GSA's commitment to small business outreach, a presentation by the selected Construction Management firm, a question and answer session, and a general networking opportunity.
