Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs is seeking the services of an
individual to assist the Narcotics Affairs Section, American Embassy
Bogota, in the administration of a Special Investigations Unit and
Andean initiative operations. Responsibilities include: preparing
written reports on finances and operational questions; reviewing
procurement requests and researches sources of supply; writing
procurement request documentation; monitors use of equipment purchased;
reviewing training needs and arranging training. As INL's authority to
award personal services contracts is limited to contracts with
individuals, only individuals will be considered for contract award.
The grade classification range is equivalent to a GS 9 through GS 12.
The position location is Bogota, Colombia. Candidates should have a
good working knowledge of USG procurement rules and regulations; the
ability of maintain an automated database to track all procurement
orders; the ability to maintain an inventory of all items; and the
ability to conduct periodic inventory checks to ascertain the end-use
of all USG provided items. Candidates must be capable of receiving a
top secret security clearance and fluent in Spanish. Interested
